Introduction
The Butte College MDLC Media Production Department provides support to faculty
and staff in the production of video programs and media presentations,
as well as consultations regarding video and Media Production s. These include
video programs, telecourses, multimedia presentations, event/class promotion, video
editing, and other modes of enhancing instruction/college activities by way of visual
and audio media.
To provide support in video and Media Production to faculty and staff, the Butte
College Media Production Department offers these services:
- Video/Promotional production
The
production of a video to use in support of instruction, staff training,
or to promote an event, class, or other activity.
- Telecourse production
The
production of a telecourse offered over BCTV, at the various MDLCs,
through WebCT, or via traditional mail.
- MultiMedia Production
The
production of multimedia presentations to be used for meetings, classroom
activities, or other presentations.
- Video taping
The videotaping
of guest speakers, activities, workshops, public forums, or other
activities.
- Video editing
The editing
of video programs to be used in support of instruction or campus activities.
- Technology/capabilities
The types of technology and
media the Media Production Department has, what it can and can
not do, and what formats it can utilize and provide.
- Hints/tips
Useful hints and tips for faculty and staff
who wish to take advantage of the Media Production Department.
These cover all video and media activities.
- Consultations
Obtain advice, learn what the Media Production Department can do, investigate options in using video and/or
media.
